AS A TESTIMONY OF SINCERE RESPECT AND AFFECTIONATE REGARD,
IN GRATEFUL RECOLLECTION AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
OF THEIR UNIFORM KINDNESS TOWARDS HIMSELF,
DURING AN INTERCOURSE OF TWELVE YEARS.
THIS VOLUME OF SERMONS
WITH THEIR PERMISSION,
INSCRIBED AND DEDICATED
BY THEIR FAITHFUL AND MUCH OBLIGED FRIEND,
Two of the following Sermons have appeared in print before. The one, delivered at the consecration of Bishop Ryder's Church, was published at Birmingham, in compliance with the wishes of the Committee of the Society for Building Churches at that place; and the other, which was preached for the Salop Infirmary, was printed at Shrewsbury, at the request of the congregation who heard it.
The Visitation Sermon, and those preached at Wolverhampton and Tilstock, are inserted in the present Volume, in conformity with promises made at the time of their delivery.
Meole Brace, July, 1840.
