It is of a hot temperature, and its population are chiefly fishermen, who carry on a great trade, and who have also considerable breeds of cattle, owing to its extensive and abundant pastures. This part of the territory is peculiarly well watered, and on this account, from the fertility of the land, some seed crops are not wanting. It is four leagues s. w. of its capital.
