All that the Father hath given me, John vi. 27. shall come to me ; and him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out.
I will be merciful to their unright- Heb. viii. 12. eousness, and their sins and iniquities I will remember no more.
Hear also what you must be, and do, for the time to
come, if you would be saved :

Now if any man have not the Spirit of Rom. viii.9. Christ, he is none of his.
If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away, behold! all things are become new.
There is no condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For they that are after the flesh, do mind the things of the flesh ; but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
For the carnal mind is enmity against

God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
So then, they that are in the flesh cannot please God. For if ye live after the flesh ye
shall die ; but if through the Spirit ye mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these ; adultery, fornication,
uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath,
strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like : of the which I tell you before, as I have told you
in time past, that they which do such things, shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
meekness, temperance : against such
there is no law. And they that are Christ's, have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Let us walk honestly, as in the day ; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying :

but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, Rom. xiii. 14. and make no provision for the flesh to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. Enter
ye in at the strait gate. For Matt. vii. 13. wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be that go in thereat. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, that leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation, hath appeared unto all men, teaching us, that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, and righteously, and godly, in this present world, looking for the blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God, and our Saviour Jesus Christ : who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Heb. xii. 28.
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the
scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law he doth meditate day and night.
The ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and
godly fear : for our God is a consuming fire.
Seeing then that these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be, in all holy conversation and godliness, looking
for and hasting to the coming of the day of God.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Then may be said the 95th, or the 100th Psalm; or the 84th.
And next the Psalms in order for the day: and Luke iv.16,17,18. next shall be read a chapter of the Old Testament, such as the Minister findeth most seasonable ; or with the liberty expressed in the Admonition before the Second Book of Homilies.
After which may be sung a Psalm, or the Te Acts. xiii. 27; Deum said: then shall be read a chapter of the New Testament, and then the Prayer for the King and Magistrates. And after that, the 67th, or 98th, or some other Psalm, may be sung or said; or the Benedictus, or Magnificat. And the same order to be observed at the Evening worship, if time allow it.
Next after the Psalm, the Minister shall (in Neh. viii. 4,5; the pulpit) first reverently, prudently, and ix. 2, 3, 4, 5, fervently pray, according to the state and neces
6, 10, 38.
Acts xii. 12, sities of the Church, and those especially that
1 Tim. iv. 5. are present, and according to the subject that he Acts i. 14; xvi. is to preach on. And after prayer, he shall preach 13, 16. upon some text of Holy Scripture, suiting his 1 Tim. ii. 8.
1 Cor. xiv. 15, matter to the necessities of the hearers, and the manner of delivery to their quality and benefit: Luke iv. 16, 18. always speaking from faith and holy experience Neh. viii. 8.
Acts xx. 7, 9. in himself, with plainness and perspicuity, with
2 Tim. iv. 1, 2. reverence and gravity, with convincing evidence Acts iv. 20. and authority, with prudence, caution, faithful- 2 Cor. iv. 13. ness, and impartiality, with tender love and John xvi. 29.
1 Cor. ii. 7, 13. melting compassion, with fervent zeal and
Matt. vii, 29. persuading importunity, and with frequency Tit. ii. 15. and unwearied patience; waiting on God for the Matt. xxi. 45.
