עמנו - וכו' : הם אומרים שישעי" הנביא ייעד על אותו משיח שנולד מנערה בתולה מבנות ישרא בלתי ידיעת איש לא נתעברה מרוח הקדש : והמה מפרשים עלמה נערה בתולה ובאמת אין שום ראייה על העלמה הנזכרת במקום זה שהיא בתולה מאחר שנמצא בתנ"ך מילת עלמה גכי על הבעולה : כמו שתמצא בראשית כד יג" והיה העלמה היוצאת לשאוב וכו' : זו נערה בתולה : אכן נאמר משלי ל" יט" ודרך גבר בעלמה שהיא בעולה בלי ספק כמו שאמר כן דרך אשה מנאפת וכו': כמו כן נאמר גכי נערה על הבעולה כמו רות ב' ה' למי הנערה הזאת וכו': וכמו שתאמר עלמח ונערה על נקבה אחת כן נאמר עלם ונער על זכר אחד כמו שמו לי נה" נוי בן מי זה העלם וכן שם בן מי זה הנער והרבה כיוצא בו : ובאמור הכתוב עלמה הרצון בזה קטנה ר"ל קטנה

ולפי שאשת הנביא היתה קטנה בשנים קראה הכתוב עלמה וגם ענין הפרשה סותר דבריהם

FROM different authors I have learned, that the proofs of the Christian Faith are derived from Isaiah, vii. 14. "Therefore the LORD himself shall give you a sign: Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name

באחרית הימים תתבוננו בה וכו : הרך נראה

שלא היה עת ביאת משיח מקודם אחרית הימים : ונביאי שקר שהיו בבית שני אמרו להפוך כל דברי נביאים האמת ובקשו לבטל התורה ואמונה מישרא ככל אשר נאמר דברים יג' ב' על מעשה הנביא וכו': ובזה הקום ה" את דבריו לנסות אותנו על ידו באותות ובמופתיו שבאו לו : ואם נקיים את אזהרותיו שהזהיר אותנו משה עבדו לשמור את נפשותינו ממנו : אז בטוחים אנחנו כמו שהק"בה הביא עלינו כל הנסיונות והגלות וכל הקללות כן יביא עלינו כל הברכות והנחמות

פרק רביעי :

הנה שמעתי כאה רבות שמביאים ראייה על אמונתם מישעי' ז' יד' שנאמר לכן יתן אדני הוא לכם אות הנה העלמה הרה וילדת בן וקראת שמו

"For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him but they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will rise up unto them." Ib. 24. "The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart; in the latter days ye shall consider it." This proves that the

Messiah cannot come until the latter end of the days, and that these have not been yet, I trust I have convinced you; consequently, I feel assured that you perceive the inconsistency of what the false prophets have declared, and are convinced

כה כו כז • יחזקא כי יב' יג' יו' וכו' : הרי כל הנביאים הזהירי את ישרא על כך : והוא הפך

שמירת שבת וכל המצות התורה :

גם היה נראה לדני עת היות הנביא הינילי בבית שני: דניץ יאי יד" נאמר ובעתים ההם רבים יעמדו על מלך הנגב ובני פריצי עמך ינשאו להעמיד חזון ונכשלו וכו' : ובאמת היה בעת ההיא נביאי שקר לרוב ובזה כשלו באמרם על ביאת המשיח ובאותן הימים ולא בא עד היום הזה כי לא היה אחרית הימים : כמו כן לא היה מפלות אדום הלא נהפוך הוא מאשר כתבתי לעיל : ואלו הם כנגד ששת ימי העבודה שאנחנו בדי גלות אדום עד שיגיע אורו של יום השביעי ומאז לא נעבוד עוד את זרים כ"א את ה' אהינו : כמו שנאמר ירמיה לי חי והיה ביום ההוא נאם ה' צבאות אשבור עולו מעל צוארך ומוסרותיך אנתק ולא יעבדו בו עוד זרים: ט' ועבדו את ה' אהיהם ואת דוד מלכם אשר אקים להם וכו' : ובפסוק כד' אמר לא ישוב חרון אף ה' עד עשותו ועד הקימו מזמות לבו
