REVELATION VI.-1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thùnder, one of the four beasts, saying, Come and see. 2 And I saw, and behold, a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. 3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. 4 And there went out anòther horse that was rèd and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another : and there was given unto him a great sword. 5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo, a blàck horse; and him had a pair of balances in his hand. 6 voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. 7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. 8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. 9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held : 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How lòng, Ŏ Lord, hōly and true, || dost thou not judge and avenge

our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And white ròbes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow-servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. 12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood: 13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig-tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. 14 And the heaven departed as a scròll when it is rolled together and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bond-man, and every free-man, hid themselves in the dèns, and in the ròcks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, (0°) Fall on us, and hìde us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

MULTITUDE

OF THE

REDEEMED.

REVELATION VII.-9 After this I beheld, and lo, a great mùltitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kíndreds, and people, and tòngues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white ròbes, and palms in their hands ; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, (0) Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the thròne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God. 12 Saying, Amèn: Bléssing, || and glóry, || and wisdom, || and thanksgiving, || and hónour, || and power, || and might, || be unto our God for ever and evèr. Amen. 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white ròbes? and whence càme they? 14 And I said unto him, Sír, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the

blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters : and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

AN ANGEL WITH A BOOK.

REVELATION X.-1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sùn, and his feet as pillars of fìre: 2 And he had in his hand a little book opened: and he set his right foot upon the séa, and his left foot on the earth, 3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lìon roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. 4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. 5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth, lifted up his hand to heaven, 6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are thérein, that there should be time no longer: 7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

THE SEVEN LAST PLAGUES.

REVELATION XV.-1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. 2 And

REVELATION XV, XIX.

I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. 3 And they sing the song of Mòses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great || and marvellous || are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. 4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lòrd, || and glòrify thy name||? for thou only art holy for all nations shall come and worship before the; for thy judgments are made manifest. 5 And after that I looked, and behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened: 6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plàgues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. 7 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vìals full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. 8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

THE

MARRIAGE

OF THE LAM B.

REVELATION xix.— -1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, (0°) AlleTùia | Salvátion, || and glóry, || and honour, || and power, || unto the Lord our God: 2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. 3 And again they said, (00) Alleluia. And her smoke rōse up for ever and evèr. 4 And the four and twenty élders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amèn; Alleluia. 5 And the voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our Gòd, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. 6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia:

REVELATION XXI, XXII.

for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

A DESCRIPTION OF THE HEAVENLY
JERUSALEM.

REVELATION XXI.-22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. 23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. 24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. 25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day for there shall be no night there. 26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. 27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie; but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

THE WATER AND TREE OF LIFE.

REVELATION Xx11.-1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the midst of the street of it and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more cùrse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sùn; for the Lord God giveth them light and they shall reign for ever and ever.

20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly: Amèn. Even so, còme, Lord Jesus.
