Amen. 21 "I will say of the Lord, He is my 1 ERE I sleep, for every favour 2 0 my Lord, what shall I render 3 Leave me not, but ever love me; 4 Visit me with Thy salvation; 5 Thou, my Rock, my Guard, my Tower, While I sleep, safely keep Me with all Thy power. 6 And, whene'er in death I slumber, Counted in their number. Amen. 22 The Lord shall be thine everlasting Light." 1 THE radiant morn hath passed away, And spent too soon her golden store ; The shadows of departing day Creep on once more. 2 Our life is but a fading dawn, 3 Oh! by Thy soul-inspiring grace, 4 Where light, and love, and joy, and peace In undivided empire reign, And thronging angels never cease Their deathless strain; 5 Where saints are clothed in spotless white, And evening shadows never fall, Where Thou, Eternal Light of Light, Art LORD of all. Amen. 23 "Under the shadow of the Almighty." All our wanderings by Thy word: Our Defence, our Refuge, Lord. 4 Never safe except with Thee, Till our final rest be come, And Thine angels bear us home. Amen. 24 "Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 1 SAVIOUR, breathe an evening blessing, Ere repose our spirits seal; Sin and want we come confessing, Thou canst save and Thou canst heal. 2 Though the night be dark and dreary 3 Though destruction walk around us, 4 Should swift death this night o'ertake us, And our couch become our tomb, May the morn in heaven awake us Clad in light and deathless bloom. Amen. 25 "Thy sun shall no more go down by 1 THE day, O Lord, is spent; 2 Our hearts' desires are fully bent We have not reach'd that land, Where holy angels round Thee stand, Whose sun can never set. O Sun of Righteousness, do Thou Shine on us evermore. Amen. 26 "The Lord will lighten my darkness.” 1 GOD the Father, be Thou near, 2 God the Saviour, be our Peace, Turn our darkness into light. |
