entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 1 Cor. vii. 9-22. Circumcision' is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God. Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was caled. Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be free, use it rather. For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's ervant. Matt, v. 17. Think not that I am come to destroy The law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to Fulfil. Rom. x. 4, 5. For Christ is the end of the law for -ighteousness to every one that believeth. For Moses decribeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

SECTION III.

Rom. ix. 4. Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the doption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving f the law, and the service of God, and the promises. Deut. xi. 1. Therefore thou shalt love the Lord thy God, nd keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and is commandments, alway. Deut. x. 4. And he wrote on he tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandnents, which the Lord spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire, in the day of the assembly: and he Lord gave them unto me. Deut. xii. 1. These are he statutes and judgments which ye shall observe to do in he land which the Lord God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth. James i. 8. If ye fulfil the royal law, according to the Scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well. | John v. 3. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. Deut. v. 32. Ye shall observe to do therefore as the Lord your God hath commanded you: you shall not turn aside hereto, nor diminish from it. Exod. xx. 1, 2. Exod. xxxi. 18. And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon Mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, writLen with the finger of God. Exod. xxxii. 19. And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount. Exod. xxxiv. 1, 2. 28. And the Lord said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like into the first; and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest. And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto Mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount. And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. Matt. xxii. 35-40. (See §1.) Rom. xii. 2. And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. Titus ii. 11-14. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. Teaching us, that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world'; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. people that are upon the face of the earth. Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them. Deut. vi. 13-15. Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name. Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you; (For the Lord thy God is a jealous God among you,) lest the anger of the Lord thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth. Heb. ix. 1. 6, 7-12. Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. Now these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God. But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: The Holy Ghost this signifying, That the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect as pertaining to the conscience; Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. 1 Sam. viii. 6, 7. But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the Lord. And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them. 1 Sam. xii. 12.
