in darkness; "Have mercy upon all Jews, Turks Infidels, and heretics, and take from them al ignorance, hardness of heart, and contempt of Thy word, and so fetch them home, blessed Lord, to Thy flock, that they may be saved among the remnant of the true Israelites, and be made one fold, under one Shepherd, Jesus Christ our Lord." Grant to Thy Universal Church "that it may be so guided and governed by Thy good Spirit, that all who profess and call themselves Christians may be led into the way of truth, and hold the faith in unity of Spirit, in the bond of peace and in righteousness of life." Give me grace, always so to live as I would wish to die, and so that I may "love the appearing" of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.-Whenever it shall please Thee to call me hence, grant that I may be found at peace with Thee through Him, and for His sake receive me into Thy Heavenly kingdom. Hear me, I beseech Thee, for the the sake of the same, Thy Son Jesus Christ, our only Mediator and Advocate, not according to my weak expressions, but according to the full meaning of the prayer, which He has taught us.
