Just Lot Delivered
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the
earth. “And God saw every thing that he had made,
and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day." Gen. 1. 1 and 31.
We are told in the Second Epistle to Timothy, that “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” We learn from this, that the Old Testament is not to be put aside by any child of God, who wishes to be taught by God. For as the “holy men of old,” who wrote the books of the Old Testament, “spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost,” therefore it is God's voice to us, and to be as much heeded as any other part of God's word. Some persons are apt to think that because the New Testament speaks plainly concerning Jesus Christ, and salvation by Him, that therefore we need not look back to the Old Testament, which does not speak
