THIS is a Book of Table Talk, and, as most readers are aware, the phrase "Table Talk" is a very difficult one to define. We are told by Dictionaries; and of course we all appeal to them, that "Table Talk" is that which we speak over the dinner-table : : "Across the walnuts and the wine," if such luxuries be at our command,-talk which should be good; and as a good thing is nothing the worse to be twice told-ought therefore to be repeated.
