PREFACE.

ON THE NOBILITY OF THE MIND.

HAPPY the Man, and blessed be his Name,
Whose constant Study, and whose constant Aim,
Is to assist with Kindness and Esteem,

Those who're struggling in this world's troubled Stream.
Bless him, O God, with Health and length of Days;
And when he late the Debt of Nature pays,
Oh! rest his Soul, and wheresoe'er he's laid,
May all good Men o'er his grave softly tread,
Reflecting as they go, how few we find
Famous for true Nobility of Mind!
