By Thy Pattern bright and pure,,
By the pains Thou didst endure.
Our salvation to procure,
Save us, Holy JESU.

By Thy Wounds and thorn-crowned Head,
By Thy Blood for sinners shed,
By Thy Rising from the dead,
Save us, Holy JESU.

By the Name we bow before,
Human Name, which evermore
All the host of heaven adore,
Save us, Holy JESU.

By Thine own unconquered might,
By Thy glory in the height,

By Thy mercies infinite,

Save us, Holy JESU. Amen.

Ascriptions of Praise.

To be sung at the conclusion of the sermon.

NOW may He Who from the dead

And preserve us, day and night.

To that dear REDEEMER'S Praise

Who the Covenant sealed with Blood, Let our hearts and voices raise

Loud thanksgivings to our God! Amen.

Be to Him Who reigns Above:
Young and old Thy Name confessing,
SAVIOUR! let us share Thy Love.

We would bow before Thy Throne;
As Thine Angels bow before Thee,

So on earth Thy Will be done! Amen.

HYMN

Abide with me; fast falls the eventide
Above the clear blue sky

Above the starry spheres
A few more years shall roll

All glory, laud, and honour.

All people that on earth do dwell

Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia (O sons & daughters).
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia (The strife is o'er)

*Almighty God, Whose only Son

Approach, my soul, the mercy seat.

For Thy dear Saint, O Lord

Fair waved the golden corn

Father of Heaven, Whose love profound
Father of mercies, in Thy Word

For ever with the Lord

[ocr errors]

Forth in Thy Name, O Lord, I go
Forty days and forty nights.

From Greenland's icy mountains

Give light, O Lord, that we may learn
Glory be to Jesus

Glory to Thee, my God, this night.
Glory to Thee, Who safe hast kept.
God Eternal, mighty King

God made me for Himself, to serve Him here.
Gracious Saviour, gentle Shepherd.

Great God! what do I see and hear

Hail to the Lord's Anointed

Hail the day that sees Him rise.
Hail, Thou once despised Jesus.

Hark! a thrilling voice is sounding

Hark! my soul, it is the Lord.

Hark! the glad sound, the Saviour comes

Hark! the herald Angels sing.
Have mercy, Lord, on me

Heavenly Father, send Thy blessing
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty
Holy Saviour, hear me

*Hosanna we sing, like the children dear

How blest that child whom Christ of old
How sweet the Name of Jesus sounds.

I could not do without Thee
I heard the voice of Jesus say
