IT

T is a good thing to give thanks | unto the Lord:
And to sing praises unto Thy | name, — | O Most | High;
To show forth Thy loving-kindness | in the morning,
And Thy | faithfulness | every | night;

Upon an instrument of ten strings, and up- | on the | lute;
Upon the harp | with a | solemn sound.

For Thou, Lord, hast made me glad | through Thy | work,
And I will triumph in the | works

of Thy | hands.

Glory be to the Father, and | to the | Son,

And to the Holy | Ghost:

As it was in the beginning, is now, and | ever | shall be,
World without | end. A- | men.

BLESS the Lord, O my | soul;

And all that is within me, bless His | holy | Name.

Bless the Lord, | O my | soul,

And for- get not | all His | benefits.

Who forgiveth all | thine in- | iquities;

Who healeth | all thy dis-eases.

Who redeemeth thy life | from de- | struction;

Who crowneth thee with loving- | kindness .. and | tender | mercies;

Bless the Lord, ye His angels that ex- | cel in | strength,

That do His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His | Word.

Bless ye the Lord, all ye His | hosts;

Ye ministers of | His that | do His | pleasure.

Bless the Lord, all His works, in all places of | His do- | minion:
Bless the Lord,— | O my | soul.

And hath raised up a mighty sal- vation | for us,
In the house of His servant | David;

As He spake by the mouth of His holy | Prophets,
Which have been | since the | world be- | gan:

That we should be saved from our | ene- | mies,
And from the hand of | all that | hate ]us:

To perform the mercy promised | to our | fathers,
And to remember His holy | cove- | nant:

The oath which He sware to our | father | Abraham,
That He would | grant | unto us:

BER

EFORE Jehovah's awful throne,
Ye nations, bow with sacred joy:
Know that the Lord is God alone,
He can create, and He destroy.

2 His sovereign power, without our aid,
Made us of clay, and formed us men;
And when like wandering sheep we strayed,
He brought us to His fold again.

3 We are His people, we His care,

Our souls and all our mortal frame:
What lasting honors shall we rear,
Almighty Maker, to Thy Name?

4 We'll crowd Thy gates with thankful songs,
High as the heavens our voices raise;
And earth, with her ten thousand tongues,
Shall fill Thy courts with sounding praise.

5 Wide as the world is Thy command,
Vast as eternity Thy Love;

Firm as a rock Thy truth must stand,
When rolling years shall cease to move.

OLD 100.
