Have you ever been disciplined or cited for a breach of ethics for unprofessional
conduct by, or been the subject of a complaint to any court, administrative agency, bar or
professional association, disciplinary committee, or other professional group? If so,
please provide the details.

I have never been disciplined or cited for a breach of ethics for unprofessional
conduct by any court, administrative agency, bar or professional association,
disciplinary committee, or other professional group. On one occasion,
however, I was the subject of a complaint to the Board of Professional
Responsibility by a former client who suffered from mental illness, Mr.
Kamran Tavakoli-Nouri. My former client alleged, among other things, that I
was a C.I.A. agent who caused the disappearance of his briefcase and personal
papers. The complaint was dismissed. Mr. Tavakoli-Nouri also brought a
small claims action against me in the D.C Superior Court on the same grounds.
Commissioner Byrd found in my favor, as did Judge Richter, who reviewed the
Commissioner's finding, and the D.C. Court of Appeals to whom Mr. Tavakoli-
Nouri appealed the decisions below.
