fomewhere fubfift to the World's End. Methods of Reconciliation were thence coneluded to be proper to fuch a Body, and coeval with it. Preaching of the Word of GOD, baptizing, repzoving, abfolving, adminiftring of the Lord's Supper, were shewn to be Methods of Reconciliation.

AND as fuch, in the fecond Part, were proved to have been committed to the Ape ütles by God himself.

In the third and laft Part, the Nature of this Commision was explained; and, from the Reason of the Thing entrusted, it appeared, that among Men the fame Power which was given to the Apostles, must neceffarily fubfift in all its Properties, as long as the World endureth; and that the means defigned for its Subfiftence was the Tranfmitting of it from one Man to another.

LASTLY, A short Account was given, from what we may difcern in Scripture, how this Power was in fact tranfmitted by the Apostles themselves.

Ir only remains, that we, who are at this Day in Poffeffion of any Share of this valuable Gift, take care to make a due Use of it, and not, like the unprofitable Servant, hide our Talent in a Napkin. The Bufinefs we have to perform is the Salvation of Men; the Perfon, from whom we originally derive our Commiffon for this End, is God himself: let this Reflection, therefore, fink deep into our Hearts, that, if we fail in our Duty, GOD is our Judge, and all MANKIND our Accufers.

Now to God the FATHER, SON, and HOLY GHOST, be afcribed all Honour and Glory, Might, Majefty, and Dominion, now and for

ever.
