Here we have beauty and fragrance, decay and death, life and immortality, so blended, that while, on the one hand, we are humbled by a sense of the fleeting character of earthly enjoyments, we are sustained on the other by the prospect of immortality, and the enjoyment of that inheritance which is "incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away."
