VER. 22.

Καὶ καταβῆναι τὸ Πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον σω ματικῷ εἴδει, ὡσεὶ περιστερὰν, ἐπ ̓ αὐτόν·

[Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee, Matt. iv. 12. Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom of God, Mark i. 14. Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee. For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country, John iv. 43, 44.]

VER. 15.

Καὶ αὐτὸς ἐδίδασκεν ἐν ταῖς συναγωγαῖς αὐτῶν, δοξαζόμενος ὑπὸ πάντων.

And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judæa, and from beyond Jordan, Matt. iv. 23-25. Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent ye, and believe the Gospel, Mark i. 14, 15. Then, when he was come into Galilee, the Galileans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast, John iv. 45.]
