Retrieving Charisms for the Twenty-first CenturyLiturgical Press, 1999 - 173 pagina's Charisms are a special variety of gifts dispensed through the Holy Spirit in Church and world for the common good. Leon-Joseph Cardinal Suenens, archbishop of Malines-Brussels from 1961-1979, spent his life uncovering these special gifts and reestablishing them in the mainstream of Christian life. His vision prompted these reflections. Donnelly states that the task before us is the retrieval of charisms which are needed for us all not merely to survive, but to survive with courage and imagination. The contributors too are aware of the urgency of our survival as well as its style. |
