His parents were Herman Larsen and Elen Else Marie Oftedahl. He married his first wife, Karen Randine Neuberg (1831-1871) in 1855. They had three children. They immigrated to America in 1857. He became the pastor of Rush River, Wisconsin from 1857 to 1859. October 14, 1861, marks the beginning of Laur. Larsen's official Presidency of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. He married Ingeborg Astrup (1846-1923) in 1872. They had ten children. He died in Decorah, Iowa. |
