Joseph Eldridge, D.D., Moderator, and Rev. Ebenezer W. Robinson, Assistant Scribe. Prayer was offered by the Moderator. Committee of overtures and nominations. A committee of overtures and nominations was chosen by ballot, consisting of Rev. Messrs. T. P. Field, D.D., E. R. Beadle, J. Brace, D.D., N. Porter, Jr., D.D., R. G. Vermilye, D.D. Distribution of the revised Digest. Voted, That each member of the district Associations shall be entitled to a copy of the "Digest of the Rules and Usages of the Consociations and Associations of Connecticut," which has lately been compiled. Recess till half past 2, p. m. (Tuesday.) Recess was taken till half past 2, p. m. Messrs. S. G. Willard, E. L. Cleaveland, D.D., L. Curtis. Everest Fund. The Trustees of the Everest Fund presented their report, which was accepted and approved, and ordered to be printed with the minutes. (Report II.) Publishing societies and home evangelization. The committee appointed last year, on "The relation of religious publishing societies to the work of home evangelization," made their report, which was accepted. |
