The following Tales are written in the style in which they are generally related by those who believe in them; and it is the object of the Compiler to illustrate, by their means, the Superstitions of the Irish Peasantry— Superstitions which the most casual observer cannot fail to remark powerfully influence their conduct and manner of thinking.
