ADVERTISEMENT. THE following discourse was composed in fome hafte, and without any parti cular attention to the ftile; and it is now published, with the addition of a few Notes, partly in compliance with the request of some who heard it; and, partly, because it has been misrepresented. The notice which the author has taken of public measures, is fuch as came neceffarily in his way in difcuffing the subject he had chofen, and in confidering the present state of the kingdom. This, however, is the first time in which he has entered into politics in the pulpit, and, perhaps, it may be the last. |
