viour which is Christ the Lord. A Light to lighten the Gentiles, and theGlory of his People Ifrael. The Wildernels and the folitary Place fhall be glad for him, and the Defart fhall rejoice and bloffom as theRofe. Sing,O ye Heavens; for the Lord hath done it, fhout ye lower parts of the Earth; break forth into finging, ye Mountains, O Forefts, and every Tree therein: for the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Ifrael.

III.

THE People that walked in Darkness have feen a great Light, and they that dwell in the Land of the Shadow of Death, upon them hath the Light shined.

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the Government fhall be upon his Shoulder, and his Name shall be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

IV.

BEHOLD the Lamb of God, that taketh away the Sins of the World.

He was defpifed and rejected of Men, a Man of Sorrows and acquainted with Grief. He gave his Back to the Smiters, and his Cheeks

to them that plucked off the Hair: He hid not his Face from Shame and Spitting.

Surely he hath born our Griefs, and carry'd our Sorrows: He was wounded for our Tranfgreffions, he was bruifed for our Iniquities, the Chastisement of our Peace was upon him, and with his Stripes we are healed.

All we like Sheep have gone aftray, we have turned every one to his own Way; and the Lord hath laid on him the Iniquity of us all.

V.

CHRIST our Paffover is facrificed for us :

therefore let us keep the Feat. Not
with old Leaven, or the Leaven of Malice
and Wickedness: but with the unleavened
Bread of Sincerity and Truth.

CHRIST being raised from the Dead, dieth
no more: Death hath no more Dominion
over him.
For in that he died, he died
unto Sin once: but in that he liveth, he
liveth unto God, Likewife reckon ye also
yourselves to be dead indeed unto Sin: but
alive unto God, through Jefus Chrift our
Lord.

CHRIST is rifen from the Dead: and be-
come the First-fruits of them that flept.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son: and to the Holy Ghoft.

As it was in the Beginning, is now, and ever fhall be: World without End. Amen.

IFT up your Heads, O yeGates, and be ye lift up, ye everlasting Doors, and the King of Glory fhall come in

Who is this King of glory?

The Lord ftrong and mighty, the Lord mighty in Battle.

up your Heads,O ye Gates, and be ye lift up,ye everlafting Doors, and the King of Glory fhall come in.

Who is this King of Glory?

The Lord of Hofts: He is the King of Glory.

VII.

OD is gone up with a Shout, the Lord with the Sound of a Trumpet.

He hath led Captivity captive; he hath received Gifts for Men.

He

He will not leave us comfortless, he will come unto us. Lo! he is with us alway, even unto the End of the World. He will pour out his Spirit upon all People, and cause them to walk in his Statutes.

O fing Praises, fing Praifes unto our God; O fing Praises, fing Praises unto our King.

VIII.

the Depth of the Riches both of theWifdom and Knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his Judgments, and his Ways paft finding out!

For who hath known the Mind of the Lord, or who hath been his Counsellor ?

Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

For of him, and through him, and to him are all Things: to whom be Glory for ever. Amen.

IX.

BLESSED are the Dead which die in the Lord, even fo faith theSpirit, for they reft from their Labours.

When a few Years are come, then shall I go the Way whence I fhall not return.

Man that is born of a Woman, is of few Days, and full of Trouble.

He cometh forth like a Flower, and is cut down ; he fleeth also as a Shadow and continueth not: Man dieth and wasteth away, yea Man giveth up the Ghost, and where is he?

I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he fhall stand at the latter Day upon the Earth; and though after mySkin, Wormsdestroy this Body, yet in my Flefh fhall I fee God.

Bleffed are the Dead which die in theLord: even so faith theSpirit, for they reft from their Labours.

X.

PRAISE ye the Lord. Praife God in his Sanctuary: praife him in the Firmament of his Power.

Praife him for his mighty Acts: praise him according to his excellent Greatness.

Praise him with the Sound of the Trumpet: praise him with the Pfaltery and Harp.

Praise him with the Timbrel and Dance : praise him with ftringed Inftruments, and Organs.

Praise him upon the loud Cymbals : praise him upon the high-founding Cymbals.

Let every Thing that hath Breath praise the Lord. Praife ye the Lord.

XI.

HE fhall feed his Flock like aShepherd; and he fhall gather the Lambs with his Arm,
