Who trusts in God's unchanging love Builds on the rock that naught can move. A

2 What can these anxious cares avail thee, 4
These never-ceasing moans and sighs?
What can it help, if thou bewail thee
O'er each dark moment as it flies?
Our cross and trials do but press
The heavier for our bitterness.

3 Only be still, and wait His leisure

In cheerful hope, with heart content To take whate'er thy Father's pleasure And all-deserving love hath sent ; Nor doubt our inmost wants are known To Him who chose us for His own.

All are alike before the Highest;
'Tis easy to our God, we know,
To raise thee up though low thou liest,
To make the rich man poor and low;
True wonders still by Him are wrought
Who setteth up and brings to naught.

5 Sing,pray,and keep His ways unswerving,
So do thine own part faithfully [ing,
And trust His word,--though undeserv-
Thou yet shalt find it true for thee;
God never yet forsook at need

The soul that trusted Him indeed.

His faith-ful follower I would be, For by His hand He lead-eth me. A-men.

3 Lord, I would clasp Thy hand in mine, 4 And when my task on earth is done, Nor ever murmur nor repine;

Content, whatever lot I see,

Since 'tis my God that leadeth me.

Ref. He leadeth me, etc.

When, by Thy grace, the victory's won,
E'en death's cold wave I will not flee,
Since God through Jordan leadeth me.
Ref. He leadeth me, etc.

Joseph H. Gilmore, 1862

3 Green pastures are before me, Which yet I have not seen; Bright skies will soon be o'er me, Where darkest clouds have been:

My hope I cannot measure;

My path to life is free;
My Saviour has my treasure,
And He will walk with me.

Anna L. Waring, 1850

Love. A-men.

Bliss He wakes, and woe He light-ens: God is Wis-dom, God is
But His mercy wan-eth never: God is Wis-dom, God is Love.

3 E'en the hour that darkest seemeth
Will His changeless goodness prove;
From the mist His brightness streameth:
God is Wisdom, God is Love.

4 He with earthly cares entwineth Hope and comfort from above; Everywhere His glory shineth: God is Wisdom, God is Love.
