THIS REPORT on the operations of the Atomic Energy Commission under
the indemnity program is submitted to the Joint Committee on Atomic
Energy of the Congress pursuant to Section 170 i. of the Atomic Energy
Act of 1954 as amended. The report covers the indemnification of activ-
ities licensed by AEC, indemnification of activities conducted under con-
tracts with the Commission, and international and maritime indemnity.
It also includes a summary of the operation of the Advisory Committee
on Reactor Safeguards and public licensing hearings held by the Com-

mission.
