We know that this relates to the laft Return of the Jews; because St. Paul lays, Rom. 11. 26. All Ifrael skall be javed, and quotes this Text.

Ch. 60. compares this Change of the Jews Condition to Light; or else it is the Appearance of some great Light or Comet, which is called his G.ory; and grofs Darkneis fhail cover the Earth, and People. A Piliar of Fire led the Ifraelites thro' the Wildernels, and fome like Miracle will direct their Return.

V. 4. Lift up thine Eyes, they gather themselves together. V. 5. The abundance of the Sea fhall be converted unto thee, and the Forces of the Gentiles come unto thee.

V. 6. Multitudes of Camels, the Dromedaries of Media, and from Sheba fhall bring Gold and Incense.

V. 9. The Ifles fhall wait for me, and the Ships of Tarif to bring thy Sons from far.

V. 10. The Sons of Strangers fhall build up thy Walls, and their Kings minifter to thee.

V. 12. For the Nation and Kingdom that will not ferve thee, fhall perish.

V. 13. The Glory of Lebanon, Firr, Pine, and Box fhall beautifie the Place of my Sanctuary.

V. 14. All they that defpifed thee, fhall bow themselves at the Sole of thy Feet, and call thee the City of the Lord.

V. 20. The Lord fhall be thy everlafting Light, and the Days of thy Mourning ended.

V. 21. Thy People shall be all righteous, and they fhallinherit the Land for ever.

Ch. 6. v. 1. Chrift proclaims this Liberty to the Captives, and this acceptable Year, Luke 4. 18.

V. 4. They fhall build the waite City, the Defolation of many Generations; Strangers fhall feed your Flocks, and be your Plow-men, and Vine-dreffers.

V. 6. Ye fhall be named the Priefts of the Lord.

V. 10. They will be adorned as a Bridegroom and Bride. Rev. 19. 7. The Marriage of the Lamb is come, and his Wife hath made he felf ready; fhe was arrayed with fine Linnen, which is the Righteousness of Saints.

Ch. 62.

Ch. 62. v. 2. Thou shalt be called by a new Name, which the Mouth of the Lord will name; that is, Christian.

V. 8. Thy Corn shall not be Meat for thine Enemies, nor Strangers drink thy Wine.

V. 10. Prepare the Way for thy People; lift up the Standard for the People.

V. 11. Say to Sion, Behold, thy Salvation cometh; behold, his Reward is with him, and his Work before him. This relates to the Deftruction of Antichrift in the next Chapter.

Ch. 63. Antichrift comes from Bograb; he is glorious in Apparel, and travels in the Greatnels of his Strength; God will deftroy him in his Fury.

V. 4. The Day of Vengeance is in his Heart; and the Year of his Redeemed is come.

V. 6. I will tread down the People in my Fury. This is Gog's coming to befiege Jerufalem by his Nations; and there he is deftroyed, Zachary 12.

V. 9. The Angel of his Prefence faved them. This is St. Michael, Dan. 12. And this is compared to the Ifraelites De liverance by Mofes; and they are laid to fing Mofes's Song, Rev. 15. This Song begins Verse 7.

15. Return from Heaven; (Vide the Septuagint ;) and Ch. 64. If thou openeft the Heaven, the Mountains will

trémble.

Note, The Meffiah is to return from Heaven; and there will be an Earthquake, as is described in Ezekiel's Prophecy, and in the Revelations, ch. 16.

Note, That Idumaa will be inhabited by the Arabians : (vide Obadiah, v. 19.) and they may come from Bozra 31 to befiege the Jews, after their Return. Foel, ch. 3. v. 19. Egypt shall be a Defolation, and Edom a defolate Wilderness.

Ch. 64. The Song is continued, and they prav that the Meffiah may come : Be not angry with us; Zion a Delo lation, and Wilderness; Jerufalem a Defolation, .. our holy and beautiful House, where our Fathers praised hee, is burnt with Fire.

Ch. 65.

Ch. 65. I am fought of them that asked not for me, I am found of them that fought me not; I faid, Behold me, bebold me, unto a Nation not called by my Name. This agrees with Zachary 12, when Chrift appears after the Deftruction of Gog.

V.9. I will bring up a Seed out of Jacob, and out of Fu dab; and mine Elect fhall inherit my Mountain.

14. Ye fhall cry for Sorrow, and howl for Vexation of Spirit. This is mourning upon feeing Chrift pierc'd, Zac. 12. 15. The Lord fhall call his Servants by another Name. (Chriftians.)

17. This Converfion is called a New Heaven, and a New Earth or elfe, the Change of their Temporal State, from Mifery to Plenty and Joy.

18. I create Jerufalem a Rejoycing.

20. There fhall be no more Infants of few Days, nor an old Man that hath not fulfilled his Days: The Child fhall not die till he is an hundred Years old; nor the Sinner escape, being accurfed, tho' an hundred Years old.

21 They fhall build Houses, and plant Vineyards, and eat the Fruit of them.

22. As the Days of a Tree, are the Days of my People; and mine Elect thall long enjoy the Work of their Hands. 25. The Wolf and the Lamb fhall feed together, and they shall not hurt in my Mountain; the Lions and Serpents shall not injure the Ewes.

Ch. 66. God rejects the House they build for him :

V. 1. Because the Heaven is his Throne, and the Earth his Footftool.

2. But God will refpect a contrite Heart.

3. He rejects their Sacrifices.

4. When Chrift called, and spoke, they would not hear bis Preaching.

6. A Voice of Noife from the City, and from the Tem ple, a Voice of the Lord rendring Recompence to his Enemies. Thifelates to to Gog's Second Coming to Jerufalem, Zacb. 14. is taken, and the Voice from the Temple commands the Seven Angels to pour out their feven Vials of the laft Plagues, Rev. 16. 1. Therefore the City and Temple must be built before the feven Vials are poured out.

16. For by Fire and his Sword will the Lord plead with all Flesh; and the Slain of the Lord shall be many. This is the Deftruction of Gog, at his fecond Coming to Jerufalem, Zach: 145

This is the laft Deftruction, of Antichrift, Rev. 19. His firft Overthrow is Rev. 16. at Armagiddon.

This is the Furnace of Fire, into which all the Wicked that are alive, will be thrown by the Angel at Chrift's fecond Coming: And this will be feen by all the Jews that have re turned.

From this Prophecy of all things yet to come, we may ob ferve, the Old Prophets end at the Return of the Ten Tribes, after the first Refurrection, and after the toral Overthrow of Antichrift. But they give no particular Account of the Mile lennium, nor the Reign of Chrift, as St. John dos

2 Efdras, Ch. 2. gives a particular Account of the Return of the Ten Tribes, and their Resurrection, and their Admiffion into the Millennium by Chrift. And ch. 13. mentions

the Return of the Two Tribes, and the Re-building of Sion, and mentions the Ten Tribes at laft, and Chrift conquering the Antichriftian Multitude.

Efay, ch. 2. mentions the laft Days, the State of the Jews after their Return in which the Lord's House should be eftablish'd, and all Nations flow into it.

V. 3. Out of Sion fhall go the Law, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

V. 4. He fhall judge amongst the Nations, and they fhall beat their Swords into Plow. fhares; Nation fhall not lift up Sword against Nation. This muft relate to the State of the Jews after their Return from their laft Captivity.

Ch. 60. v. 1. The Bight must be some miraculous one, be caufe 'tis the Glory of the Lord, and inlightens Ferufalem And v. 3. Kings fhall come to that Light, and the Gentiles to that Brightness. So the Magi were directed to Chrift at his Birth and this extraordinary Light will caufe Wonder and Admiration, and occafion the Jews to go to Ferufalem; there they fhall not want the Light of the Sun by Day, nor the Moon by Night; the Lord fhall be an everlasting Light.

V. 20. Thy Sun fhall not fet, nor thy Moon be eclipsed; but the Lord fhall be said. This Return of the Jews will be occafioned by this miraculous Light from Heaven, and not any human Help, Efay, ch. 59. v. 16. He faw there was no Man to help; God will punish their Adversaries, and the Redeemer fhall come to Sion. V. 18, and 20, the feven laft Plagues will then be poured out, Rev. 16. upon the Kingdom of Antichrift.

When St. Paul was converted, there fhone from Heaven a great Light about him, and he heard a Voice. By the fame Method, the Jewish Nation may be called and converted by a great Light, and hearing a Voice. εἰς τας νήσεις ἀμὰ σύστημον

Whofoe will feriously confider the Events predicted by Efay, und the Affyriay, Babylonian, Judaic, Egyptian, and Samaritan Kingdoms, muft confefs, that there is a Supream Being, who predicted, and pre-ordained, and accomplished by his Providence, thofe Events; and that the Neglect of the
