But of the times and the seasons, brethren, bye bch. 4.9. have no need that I write unto you. παραμυθεῖσθε τοὺς ὀλιγοψύχους, ἀντέχεσθε τῶν ἀσθενῶν, 15 μακροθυμεῖτε πρὸς πάντας. ὁρᾶτε μή τις κακὸν ἀντὶ κακοῦ τινι ἀποδῷ· ἀλλὰ πάντοτε τὸ ἀγαθὸν διώκετε καὶ 16, 17 εἰς ἀλλήλους καὶ εἰς πάντας. πάντοτε χαίρετε. ἀδια18 λείπτως προσεύχεσθε. ἐν παντὶ εὐχαριστεῖτε· τοῦτο γὰρ 19 θέλημα Θεοῦ ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ εἰς ὑμᾶς. τὸ πνεῦμα 20, 21 μὴ σβέννυτε προφητείας μὴ ἐξουθενεῖτε. πάντα δοκι22 μάζετε· τὸ καλὸν κατέχετε ἀπὸ παντὸς εἴδους πονηροῦ 23 ἀπέχεσθε. Ι ΠΑΥΛΟΣ καὶ Σιλουανὸς καὶ Τιμόθεος, τῇ ἐκκλησίᾳ Θεσσαλονικέων ἐν Θεῷ πατρὶ ἡμῶν καὶ Κυρίῳ Ἰησοῦ 2 Χριστῷ χάρις ὑμῖν καὶ εἰρήνη ἀπὸ Θεοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν καὶ Κυρίου Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ.

3 Εὐχαριστεῖν ὀφείλομεν τῷ Θεῷ πάντοτε περὶ ὑμῶν ἀδελφοὶ, καθὼς ἄξιόν ἐστιν, ὅτι ὑπεραυξάνει ἡ πίστις ὑμῶν, καὶ πλεονάζει ἡ ἀγάπη ἑνὸς ἑκάστου πάντων ὑμῶν 4 εἰς ἀλλήλους· ὥστε ἡμᾶς αὐτοὺς ἐν ὑμῖν καυχάσθαι ἐν ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις τοῦ Θεοῦ, ὑπὲρ τῆς ὑπομονῆς ὑμῶν καὶ πίστεως, ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς διωγμοῖς ὑμῶν καὶ ταῖς θλίψεσιν 5 αἷς ἀνέχεσθε, ἔνδειγμα τῆς δικαίας κρίσεως τοῦ Θεοῦ, εἰς τὸ καταξιωθῆναι ὑμᾶς τῆς βασιλείας τοῦ Θεοῦ, ὑπὲρ ἧς 6 καὶ πάσχετε. εἴπερ δίκαιον παρὰ Θεῷ, ἀνταποδοῦναι η τοῖς θλίβουσιν ὑμᾶς θλίψιν, καὶ ὑμῖν τοῖς θλιβομένοις ἄνεσιν μεθ ̓ ἡμῶν, ἐν τῇ ἀποκαλύψει τοῦ Κυρίου Ιησοῦ ἀπ ̓ οὐρανοῦ, μετ ̓ ἀγγέλων δυνάμεως αὐτοῦ, ἐν 8 πυρὶ φλογὸς, διδόντος ἐκδίκησιν τοῖς μὴ εἰδόσι Θεὸν καὶ τοῖς μὴ ὑπακούουσι τῷ εὐαγγελίῳ τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν 9 Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ· οἵτινες δίκην τίσουσιν, ὄλεθρον αἰώνιον, ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ Κυρίου, καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς δόξης τῆς ἰσχύος το αὐτοῦ· ὅταν ἔλθῃ ἐνδοξασθῆναι ἐν τοῖς ἁγίοις αὐτοῦ, καὶ θαυμασθῆναι ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς πιστεύουσιν, ὅτι ἐπιστεύθη τὸ 11 μαρτύριον ἡμῶν ἐφ' ὑμᾶς, ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ. εἰς ὃ καὶ προσευχόμεθα πάντοτε περὶ ὑμῶν, ἵνα ὑμᾶς ἀξιώσῃ τῆς κλήσεως ὁ Θεὸς ἡμῶν, καὶ πληρώσῃ πᾶσαν εὐδοκίαν αγα12 θωσύνης καὶ ἔργον πίστεως ἐν δυνάμει ὅπως ἐνδοξασθῇ 2 ἡμῶν om.
