ORDERS TO BE OBSERVED BY THE CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS. No Child can be admitted into these Schools whose Parents do not reside in the Parish, or who is under the Age of Eight, or above Eleven Years. No Child can be admitted into the House without previously obtaining a Medical Certificate of general good Health, which Certificate is to be presented to the Treasurer. The Children, on no pretence whatever, to omit wearing the Badges which will be given them with their Clothes; nor to wear any other Clothes than those allowed them by the Charity. No Child to be absent without leave from the Master or Mistress ; who have power to grant it for One or Two Days at most. If longer time should be necessary, application must be made to the Committee, who will give a Ticket of Leave, which must be constantly worn in front of the Coat or Gown. Children cannot be retained in these Schools after the Age of Fourteen, unless by Special Order of the Commitee but to receive no further Clothing. All Children, on quitting the School, shall return their last clothes; and if they quit without leave of the Committee, they shall forfeit the customary Gratuity. The Children shall be under the entire controul of the Master and Mistress; their Parents must therefore freely submit them to their reproof and correction ; and should there be any just cause of complaint, the same must be made to the Committee at their next Meeting. The Parents are to send their Children to School daily at the appointed Hours, and to pay the most strict attention to all the Rules of the Establishment. They must take particular care to keep them clean, washed, and combed, and their clothes mended,― otherwise they will no longer be permitted to attend the Schools. The Parents are expected constantly to set their Children good Examples at Home, by their own sober and religious deportment; remembering, that the good example of the parent makes a greater impression on the heart of a child, than all the instruction of the ablest Master. Plain Work is taken in for the Employment of the Girls, when not engaged in the business of the House and Schools. The Mothers of the Girls in the House, will be permitted to see them every Saint's Day, between the hours of Two and Four in the Afternoon. PRESIDENT. The Rev.
