A review of the book Shakespeare's Hand in the Play of Sir Thomas More. Cambridge University Press, 1923. It is the most serious attack which has yet been made on the conclusions or probabilities set forth in that book. The chief ground of Professor Schücking's

attack is literary, and his opinion is certainly not more valuable than that of the authors themselves. He expresses dissatisfaction with the determinations of hand-writing, but does not go into it deeply. Over against what he has to say may be placed the conclusions of Mr. Tannenbaum, which are as a whole favorable. (See SP., XXII, 392411.)
