Osho Never Born Never Died. Only visited this Planet Earth between December 11, 1931-Janurary 19, 1990. As this final inscription suggests, Osho Rajneesh was a paradox: an individual with no claims to being an individual a Master with thousands of disciples who refused to be a Master. He has variously been seen as the god that failed ,the most dangerous man since Jesus Christ and the Buddha for the future .This book brings together some of the best short writings in English on Osho and neo-Sannyasa. Some of the pieces are celebratory, some inquisitive but uncommitted, some scholarly, and some frankly sceptical. The book is divided into four parts, dealing with Osho himself, his Community, Meditation and Therapy, and the Decline and Renewal of his movement, with a postscript on the present commune. Together the papers provide a full picture of a complex man and a vibrant, if turbulent, religious movement.

On the other hand, the prophet may be an exemplary man who, by his personal example, demonstrates to others the way to religious salvation, as in the case of the Buddha. The preaching of this type of prophet says nothing about a divine mission or an ethical duty of obedience, but rather directs itself to the self-interest of those who crave salvation, recommending to them the same path as he himself traversed.

Pagina 96 - We are trying to present a new synthesis between East and West. The Eastern methods are more individualistic, more inwardgoing, and more concerned with solitude, aloneness, and the person. They are meditative methods, more concerned with the person and his integrity. They are not group methods. The Western methods are mainly group methods, and are outgoing, more concerned with communication and relationships, with the group and integrity in relationships, not in aloneness.

This is particularly true of outpatient child guidance clinics. In these clinics, there is a general agreement that the standard psychiatric nosology as outlined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association (1952), is unsatisfactory and, for the most part, inappropriate for use with children. Pagina 157 - Man is now living in his most critical moment and it is a crisis of immense dimensions. Either he will die or a new man will be born. Rajneeshism accepts this challenge and is making the only worldwide effort to transform human consciousness... The period of this crisis will be between 1984 and 1999.
